Well, season 2011/12 looms large.  For the first time in a while, there is a general air of optimism for Pompey fans.  We have new owners, new players and apparently a new approach to business.

                           

What we need next is some stability, financial acumen and a plan.  A plan to breathe longevity into our great club and that includes a new stadium.

 

We have a great season to look forward to.  We get to renew our rivalries with Brighton, Millwall, West Ham and Reading.  Most of all, yes, that lot up the road.  League games between Pompey and Scummers have not occurred very often in the history of the rivalry.

 

Of course, with the memory of our Premier League sojourn dimming now and the lack of live games on T.V., it is rare that we can get together as remote supporters to watch the games.  However, I am sure the schedules will provide some opportunity and the SouthCoast derbies loom large as early kick off times are scheduled.

 

Whatever our ability to watch the new crop of boys in blue, I am sure it will be a memorable season.  Try to find ways to get together as a club and sign up for one or both of the Facebook pages, which are our means of keeping in touch.

 

In the meantime, keep the faith and PLAY UP POMPEY!.
